Our story
Giant Stripe started with a simple frustration: plus-size brides were treated as an afterthought — upcharged, under-styled, and stuck waiting months for a gown that fit. We set out to build something fresher, friendlier, and fair.
Why "Giant Stripe"
The stripe is our sash — a wide band of color we wrap through every gown, every box, and every page of this site. It stands for the idea that more room, more sizes, and more honesty should be part of the design from day one, not an alteration bolted on afterward.
We work with a small group of pattern makers who draft every silhouette from scratch for sizes 14 through 32, and we use dependable, low-cost fabrics so we can keep prices fair without cutting corners on fit.

Milestones
Started with three silhouettes and a single fabric supplier, focused entirely on sizes 14 and up.
Moved away from showroom fittings so families could try dresses on together, at home.
Rebuilt our pattern library so every style is offered across the full range from day one.
